I mai 2019 åpnet vi dørene til Bentley Oslo, Norges første autoriserte forhandler av det legendariske, britiske bilmerket. Et snaut år senere har selskapet blitt deleiere av McLaren- og Bentleyagenturene i Sverige, undertegnet agentavtale med nok et spektakulært bilkonsept og er på flyttefot til splitter nye lokaler på Billingstad.
Salget innenfor premiumbil-segmentet har vokst enormt i Norge de siste årene. Denne utviklingen var sentral i avgjørelsen om å etablere en autorisert Bentley-forhandler i Oslo. Det samme var også det faktum at Bentley i større grad tilpasset sitt modellutvalg til det norske markedet. De første Bentaygaene, Bentleys første Norgesvennlige plug-in-hybrid, er for lengst levert til fornøyde kunder, mens en helelektrisk modell er på vei. - Nå ser vi frem til å flytte Bentley Oslo inn i våre nye og spesialtilpassede lokaler på Billingstadsletta utenfor Oslo. Der regner vi med å være på plass i løpet av juni 2020, forteller Christian Gottschalk, daglig leder i Brooklands Motors.
Satser i Sverige
Bentley Oslo er et samarbeid mellom XPND og Bentley Riga, gjennom selskapet Brooklands Motors. Samme selskaper har nå kjøpt seg inn med 1/3 hver i Bentley-agenturet i Stockholm og Malmø, og dermed innledet et samarbeid med dagens eiere. Med dette befester vi oss i det nordiske markedet som autorisert importør og forhandler for Bentley, noe som medfører større fleksibilitet og markedskraft. Med avtalen i Sverige, følger også McLaren-agenturet. Det betyr at McLaren nå også vil bli tilgjengelig for norske kunder, via Stockholm.
Rune Haaland er ansatt i Brooklands Motors, som ansvarlig for å koordinere overtagelsen og utvikling av agenturet i Sverige. Rune har 35 års fartstid fra bilbransjen med bakgrunn fra Bavaria, Porsche og Jaguar Land Rover. -Vi er svært glade for å få med oss Rune, med hans brede erfaring og kompetanse, i Brooklands Motors. Han vil håndtere etablering og drift i Sverige og bidra i vekstplanene for Bentley Oslo. Nå som Pininfarina også etableres i begge markeder blir hans rolle svært viktig for å utnytte ressursene og potensialet i begge markedene maksimalt, sier Nils Tronrud.
Nysignering
Brooklands Motors inngikk nylig også agentavtale med Automobile Pininfarina som forhandler av deres nye hyperbil, den elektriske sportsbilen Battista. – Vår plan har vært å utvide med ett til to agenturer i tillegg til Bentley, når vi flytter inn i nye og større lokaler på Billingstad. Med Automobile Pininfarina, representerer vi ikke bare noe av det mest spennende innen bilverdenen i dag, men også banebrytende teknologi og design. Går alt etter planen, vil nok et agentur være på plass i begge land i løpet av sommeren, fremholder Nils Tronrud.

In May 2019, we opened the doors to Bentley Oslo, Norway's first authorized dealer of the legendary British car brand. A short year later, the company became part owner of the McLaren and Bentley agencies in Sweden, signed an agent agreement with yet another spectacular car concept and is on the move to brand new premises in Billingstad, just outside Oslo.
Sales in the premium car segment have grown tremendously in Norway in recent years. This development was central to the decision to establish an authorized Bentley dealer in Oslo. The same was also the case that Bentley adapted its model range to a greater extent to the Norwegian market. The first Bentayga, Bentley's first Norwegian-friendly plug-in hybrid, has long been delivered to satisfied customers, while a fully electric model is on the way. - We are now looking forward to moving Bentley Oslo into our new and customized premises on Billingstadsletta. We expect to be in place by June 2020, says Christian Gottschalk, CEO of Brooklands Motors.
Increases in the Nordic market
Bentley Oslo is a collaboration between XPND and Bentley Riga, through the company Brooklands Motors. The same companies have now bought in with 1/3 each in the Bentley agency in Stockholm and Malmö, and with it initiated a collaboration with today's owners. With this, we increase our share in the Nordic market as an authorized importer and dealer for Bentley, which means greater flexibility and market power. With the agreement in Sweden, the McLaren Agency also follows. This means that McLaren will now also be available to Norwegian customers, via Stockholm.
Rune Haaland is employed by Brooklands Motors, responsible for coordinating the acquisition and development of the company in Sweden. Rune has 35 years of experience in the car industry, with backgrounds from Bavaria, Porsche and Jaguar Land Rover. -We are very pleased to have Rune, with his broad experience and expertise, in Brooklands Motors. He will manage establishment and operations in Sweden and contribute to Bentley Oslo's growth plans. Now that Pininfarina is also being established in both markets, his role will be very important in maximizing the resources and potential of both markets, says Nils Tronrud.
New brand signing
Brooklands Motors also recently signed an agent agreement with Automobile Pininfarina, which trades on their new hypercar, the electric sports car Battista. - Our plan has been to expand with one to two agencies in addition to Bentley as we move into new and larger premises at Billingstad. With Automobile Pininfarina, we not only represent some of the most exciting in the automotive world today, but also pioneering technology and design. If everything goes according to plan, another agency will be in place in both countries during the summer, says Nils Tronrud, chairman of Brooklands Motors.
